Maya 3D Plane - Making a Model

Making a 3D model was something that I have never done before, and was defiantly a first in Maya. I found this task somewhat difficult as I'm very new to this software and found it difficult navigating the software however its something that I can get into.

Here is an example of the plane model I made in maya while the model has turned out okay I think I could've done a better job in creating it. I will start experimenting on  my own accord in Maya so I can more accurately create models and become more familiar with the tools, so I can use them more efficiently.
