Think and Create Planning

Aim, Why Do it? Whats its purpose?

The aim of  Think and Create is to showcase the work of sit students in varies categories such as film, Art, Gaming and animation to the public, wider community and increase exposure for students to the widespread creative industry. Another reason as to why were putting on this event is so that we can gain experience and understanding of running complex event.

Objective, What do we want to get? Achieve? Demonstrate?

We want to create a seamless event, that is easy on the eye and is easy/accessible for people to submit. It should be well catered and understandable and easy for the community to participate in and enjoy.
Communication setting and example.

Measures of success - Tangible Measures

Measuring success can be achieved in multiple ways, personally it can be achieved through grades with getting an A, In a group success can be measured by a survey via an email, seeing both the negative and positive feedback and taking it into account for next time, to ensure most of the feedback is positive the judges and entries should be of high quality which acts as a measurement in itself, as having a high standard of work entered into the exhibition shows that people cared enough to make sure that their work is of high quality. On the day of the event will be the clearest measurement of our success is the attendance, how many people will show up on the day this could also be more easily assessed through a comment book for people to write any feedback attendees might have for organizers. This way of measuring success might be more superior to that of the survey which could only be emailed to students, and with many students not bothering to check their emails it seems a lot better to just use the comment book which is more accessible to the wider community than just SIT students.
